| In January 2025, Rivertime appointed Tom Sowerby as Charity Manager. Tom’s background as an instructor, and then Principle, at the Bisham Abbey Sailing and Navigation School makes him the ideal person to manage Rivertime. He has since started his own training business delivering first aid and training in the workplace. He has worked with the Rivertime Boat Trust on and off since it was formed. Tom has instructed the skippers and carried out training for our volunteers for a number of years and is familiar with the way Rivertime operates and has worked with our senior skipper and volunteer skippers and crew on an annual basis. Tom has taken over from Guy Fisher who will continue to be involved, taking a seat on the Board of Trustees, after a busy seven months. We’re looking forward to working more closely with him and welcoming him to the team! Guy Fisher is stepping down as Charity Manager and taking up a role on the Board of Trustees where he will continue to work hard to drive the Trust forward. We’d like to thank Guy for the huge amount of energy and passion he has given to his role and look forward to continuing to work with him as a Trustee. |
